Your support and participation allow the Veterans Council of Indian River County to provide the following veterans programs:
-
Veteran Advocacy and Outreach: We act as advocates for veterans, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are addressed. Through community outreach programs, we strive to raise awareness about the challenges faced by veterans and the support they require.
-
Assistance Navigating Veterans Affairs: We provide guidance and assistance to veterans in navigating the complex processes and systems of the Veterans Affairs (VA) department. This includes helping them access healthcare services, educational benefits, disability claims, and other VA programs.
-
Emergency Financial Assistance: We offer emergency financial aid to veterans facing immediate financial crises. This assistance can help cover essential expenses such as housing, utilities, medical bills, and other critical needs, providing temporary relief during challenging times.
-
Case Management and Access to Resources: Our dedicated case managers work closely with veterans to assess their individual needs and develop personalized plans to address their challenges. We connect them with a wide range of resources and support services, including mental health counseling, job training, housing assistance, and more.
-
Courtesy Shuttle Rides: We provide a courtesy shuttle service for veterans, transporting them to the West Palm Beach VA medical center and local appointments. This service ensures that veterans have reliable transportation to receive the healthcare they need and attend important appointments without any hurdles.
We hope you will join us in supporting veterans!
